Welcome to a slice of life! My name's Mel and this blog has been a long time coming. I started this blog with one of my nearest and dearest, Alyssa, as an outlet for of my massive love for style, jewellery, food and pretty much anything and everything that catches my eye. I wanted to be able to put all my scrambled thoughts and ramblings into one, glorious, organised mess of a blog, full of everything from the weird and the wonderful to my greatest desires and current obsessions.
At the moment I'm in my second year of study at Durham University with the hopes of graduating with a first in business and management. One can hope, right? But when I graduate, I want to pursue a career in marketing, publishing, editing, or basically anything involving creativity and style.
Those who know me, know that I'm not exactly a conventional person: I love unique and kooky bits of clothing, hilarious videos of cats and making things out of cardboard boxes (See robot suit).
To get to know me a little better, here are a few facts that not so many people know about me:
I love ruins. Love love love love them. This is weird right? Surely it's not normal to have such an infatuation with ruins but I just can't help it, they are simply amazing and can be pretty breathtaking. I particularly want to see the Khmer Kingdom Palace Ruins in Cambodia. They look incredibly majestic but in a very simple and natural way.
You know how some people like cookies? Well I like ruins.

I also like cookies - I will happily eat a whole packet in one go.
I have a cat called Meow Meow who makes a noise much more like ggggnraooooooow than meow. She's also super old (80 cat years i reckon!) and completely deaf

Embellishment is one of my greatest loves in life. I'm pretty sure that 80% of my clothing has some form of embellishment on it: beads, sequins and lace. Anything intricate and detailed I'm guaranteed to love.
We're glad that you stumbled upon our secret haven of all things magnificently random and wonderful. We promise to keep things light and entertaining for you. Apart from when we get deep, then we'll get really profound and so deep that you'll think you're at the bottom of the sea. Or at least, we'll try.
That's it for now, talk to ya'll later.
Stay happy!
