Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!  Right now I'm writing this from Heathrow airport where I'm awaiting my flight to Hong Kong. I'm flying alone for the first time, which I won't lie, I'm kinda petrified of. I'm pretty sure I have some sort of issue with being alone a lot of the time but maybe it'll be a great learning curve for me. I know everything will be fine but I can't help but to always feel a bit apprehensive about flying, it doesn't happen for me very often!

My family members are flying there later on and it's made me think about Christmas and what it really means. This will be the first time ever thay I'm away from them for Christmas and it has made me think about all the people in the world who don't get to celebrate this special time of the year. For me, Christmas is a time which I can spend with my family - everybody comes Home to my parents' place and we have a feast and just generally enjoy time together. There are so many people in the world who don't have loved ones to spend the holidays with and many who simply can't afford to celebrate the way they would like. This means that those of us who can do these things, should. We shouldn't moan and complain about not necessarily getting what we want, but instead, should appreciate and be grateful that we have family and friends to spend the holidays with and enjoy the time we are lucky enough to have with them.

I've just been called through to my flight! I hope you all have a wonderful and loving Christmas.
